Is it still March?
I thought I should get at least one post in before March is over. This has not been the best month. Mostly because the weather is still quite cold and yucky.
Knitting has still been happening, though. Here is the second hat I made for Hat Attack! It's the Binary Cable pattern and can be found on Ravelry. It's a fun hat to knit. This one is made from Lamb's Pride Worsted in Wild Oak. I thought it turned out nice.
I am no longer alive in Hat Attack! My death hat arrived on Thursday to finish me off. I love the color and the way it fits. We took a long walk along the Mohawk River yesterday and it kept my head nice and warm.
Here is a picture I snapped with my phone at the Palm Sunday auction at church. I made a knit-up-the-back hooded baby sweater and crocheted a matching turtle to be auctioned.
They brought in $18.00 which was fine by me. A friend was sitting at the table with us during the auction and wanted to pay me to make one for her grandson. I told her to donate the same amount to the auction and I would make it for her. We didn't discuss color or size yet so I haven't started it. I'll have to call her and get the details. It won't get started until after my niece's baby shower on April 14th, though. I have a couple of things I want to get made for her.
And here is the hooded sweater and socks I made for my other niece's new son. He was born in January and I didn't get them sent out until the beginning of March so I hope they fit him. The sweater pattern is from Creative Knitting March 2008. The socks are the Class Socks from Sensational Socks by Charlene Schurch. I used Bernat Softee Baby yarn to make them.
I finished a pair of baby socks for the Sock A Month KAL today. Last day as usual. They are for charity and made from leftovers in Regia Crazy Colors.
And that is pretty much it for me this month. Other than what I am working on for the baby shower. I am hoping that April turns out to be a much nicer month weatherwise.

Wow, you've gotten a lot of knitting done! Everything is just beautiful.
I know I bought a cross stitch kit with ribbon embroidery (and all necessary instructions and supplies) but I am pretty sure I ended up giving it away, thinking I would never end up making it. Bummer. Oh well, I will pick up some supplies online and see if I can wing it! LOL
Wow you've been busy! I just adore the red hat and the greenish turtle! Everything is really lovely! :)
